Salary Details:
The salary ranges from £105,390 to £131,964 per annum. This role is under consideration for an updated consultant salary range pending agreement.
About the Role:
This role involves providing consultant leadership to the award-winning Red Kite View Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The service supports young people with significant psychiatric and emotional issues, working closely with community mental health teams across West Yorkshire. The consultant will oversee 16 General Adolescent beds and work alongside another full-time consultant, with additional support from specialty doctors and psychiatric trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the care of adolescents with severe mental health conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Participate in service development and research initiatives
- Provide training and mentorship to junior doctors and non-medical staff
