Working under the supervision of the senior practice nurse and following specific guidelines, the Health Care Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves a variety of clinical tasks and responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient health checks
• Perform ECG recordings
• Carry out phlebotomy procedures
• Assist with chaperoning duties
• Process and manage laboratory samples
• Monitor vaccine and cold chain storage
• Prepare and maintain clinical environments and equipment
• Assist in patient health assessment and surveillance
• Undertake delegated clinical activities for specific patients
• Promote health and well-being awareness
• Provide home visits for blood tests and basic health checks
• Opportunity to develop skills in ear syringing, minor dressings, and immunisations
