- GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent
- NVQ 2 in Health Care, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a care setting

Salary Details
The role offers a competitive salary range of £24,071 to £25,674 per annum, pro-rata for part-time positions. This falls under the NHS Agenda for Change pay scheme, Band 3.

As a Healthcare Assistant at RCHT, you’ll be at the heart of patient care. You’ll work in the Acute Frailty Unit, an 18-bedded eldercare ward specializing in frailty. Your role will be crucial in supporting patients to feel and be at their best. It’s a position that demands flexibility, commitment, and above all, compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily activities and personal care
- Monitor and record patients’ conditions
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Support in the delivery of treatment plans
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
- Contribute to improving services and patient experience
