About the Role
The Assistant Cook will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for patients, staff, and functions at Freeman Hospital. Tasks include producing patient sandwiches, salads, cold sweets, and children’s meals. The role involves working 5 days out of 7, including weekends, on a 3-week rolling rota, with shifts from 6 am to 2 pm and 10 am to 6 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals.
- Produce cold items for the following day.
- Complete relevant paperwork as required.
