About the Role:
The Head of Information Governance and Cyber Security will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the hospital’s Information Governance and Cyber Security Strategy. This role includes overseeing the organization’s information governance work program, ensuring compliance with national standards, and acting as a subject matter expert on data protection laws. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of patient and staff information. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the hospital’s data and supporting informed decision-making at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement information governance and cybersecurity strategies
- Provide expert advice on data protection laws to senior management
- Monitor and ensure compliance with national IG & cyber standards
- Liaise with the Information Commissioners Office during investigations
- Lead the design of monitoring mechanisms for KPIs and metrics
