Working under the supervision of the senior practice nurse and following specific guidelines, the Health Care Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves a variety of clinical tasks and responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct new patient health checks
- Perform ECG recordings
- Carry out phlebotomy procedures
- Assist with chaperoning duties
- Process and manage laboratory samples
- Monitor vaccine and cold chain storage
- Prepare and maintain clinical environments and equipment
- Assist in patient health assessment and surveillance
- Undertake delegated clinical activities for specific patients
- Promote health and well-being awareness
- Provide home visits for blood tests and basic health checks
- Opportunity to develop skills in ear syringing, minor dressings, and immunisations
