    Requirements:

    • Education: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
    • Teaching Experience: Successful experience within secondary education.

    • Driving License: Essential for carrying out the duties across Warrington.
    • Enhanced DBS Clearance: Required for this role.

    Desirable Knowledge:

    • Understanding of inclusive practices, Children in Care, Special Educational Needs, and other vulnerable groups.
    • Practical understanding of Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

    About the Role:

    Warrington Borough Council is seeking dedicated Home Tutors to provide education to primary and secondary pupils who are unable to attend school due to exclusion or medical reasons. The role involves delivering tailored education in various locations, including libraries, pupils’ homes, and schools. The successful candidates will need to be adaptable, compassionate, and committed to supporting vulnerable pupils in Warrington.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver high-quality education to pupils in various settings across Warrington.
    • Work with pupils who have complex needs, ensuring they receive appropriate educational support.
    • Collaborate with the Pupil Medical Needs Officer and other professionals to deliver effective education plans.
    • Maintain flexibility in managing a caseload and working within school hours.
