About the Role:
The Housekeeping Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout Chippenham Community Hospital. Duties include cleaning clinical departments, offices, and communal areas, managing waste, and replenishing supplies. Training will be provided to meet NHS guidelines. The role requires a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain clinical departments, offices, and communal areas
- Manage and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels
- Perform periodic carpet and floor maintenance
- Maintain records such as cleaning forms and temperature sheets
- Change curtains as needed
- Use cleaning equipment and products as per manufacturer’s instructions
