    Requirements

    • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities (RNLD) or Mental Health Social Worker
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mental health settings
    • Experience with children and young people in mental health
    • Willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL)
    • Access to own vehicle and readiness to travel across the North West of England
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

    Salary Details

    • £29,970 – £36,483 per annum, pro rata
    • Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications

    About the Role

    The Mental Health Practitioner will join the Manchester team within the National Deaf CAMHS (NDCAMHS) service. The role involves providing mental health services to deaf children and their families across the Northwest. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, including Interpreters and Specialist Deaf Outreach Workers, and will be expected to travel across the region. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills in BSL and engage in continuous professional development, with a focus on delivering outstanding care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments and interventions for deaf children with mental health needs
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and liaise with other professionals
    • Support and deliver mental health services across the North West
    • Develop care plans and manage safeguarding concerns

    Additional Details

    • Remote interviews will be conducted via Zoom on 30th September 2024
    • Candidates requiring a visa must meet Trust requirements for sponsorship
