We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Assistant to join the Adult Autism Assessment Service in Telford and Wrekin. The role involves supporting autism diagnostic assessments for adults, working under the clinical supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist. Requirements
- First or Upper Second honours degree in psychology, or a lower Second degree with a post-graduate qualification (e.g., Master’s degree)
- Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
- Experience supporting neurodiverse individuals in hospital, residential, or community settings
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

About the Role
The Psychology Assistant will contribute to the delivery of specialist autism diagnostic assessments for adults. This includes attending multi-disciplinary meetings, conducting psychological assessments under supervision, and assisting in the formulation of client problems. The role also involves participating in service development projects, audits, and research to enhance the service’s effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting protocol-based psychological assessments under supervision
- Assisting in the design and implementation of service development projects
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and discussions
- Undertaking data collection, analysis, and report preparation
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
