Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience as a Security Engineer.
• Strong background in network architecture, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with firewalls, load balancers, switches, NDR, EDR/AV, and email gateways.
• Expertise in virtualization, managing firewalls, and enterprise storage solutions.
• Familiarity with ISO27001 and SOC2 compliance frameworks.

About the Role:

As an Infrastructure and Security Engineer at MHR International, the successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s technology infrastructure. The role involves monitoring and managing security tools, ensuring optimal configurations, and safeguarding MHR’s digital assets. Responsibilities include troubleshooting infrastructure issues, leading complex IT projects, and collaborating closely with the Head of IT Infrastructure and Security to shape the company’s technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain infrastructure and security toolsets (firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
• Define and oversee changes to IT infrastructure with minimal disruption.
• Provide support for data center infrastructure, ensuring continuous power and cooling.
• Troubleshoot and remediate infrastructure and security issues.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within network infrastructure.
• Respond to intrusions and unauthorized activities.
• Design and deploy infrastructure solutions following security best practices.
• Lead projects aimed at upgrading IT infrastructure technologies.
• Ensure security enforcement across all network layers.
• Stay updated on developments in infrastructure and security technologies.

Additional Details:

Candidates should be comfortable commuting to the Ruddington, Nottingham office, and may need to undergo DBS Security Vetting. Visa sponsorship is possible for the right candidate, and the role requires proof of living in the UK for three years.
